This unique service claims to be the longest-running Thanksgiving Service of its kind in the United States. Started in 1874 by two Protestant churches and Temple B’rith Kodesh, it has now grown to include all major religious communities in Rochester. The hosting of the service and the different parts of the liturgy are rotated among the participating congregations. Annual fixtures include the Muslim call to prayer and blowing of the shofar.
Members of our Catholic parishes are encouraged to come and participate in this unique Thanksgiving liturgy.
